G Adventures, one of the largest adventure travel companies worldwide, has announced a new ship for its Antarctic expeditions.
Starting in the 2025/2026 season, the newly renamed MS Expedition will offer an enhanced onboard experience while preserving the adventurous spirit and warm, community-driven atmosphere that have defined G Adventures’ polar journeys for more than 15 years.
The new ship claims to deliver a smoother ride, updated interiors, and more room for travellers and crew to connect while lowering the carbon footprint per passenger by up to 30 per cent.
The previous MS Expedition, (IMO 7211074) the former car ferry launched in 1972 and refitted by G Adventures for expedition cruising in 2008, is likely nearing the end of its service life after a recent technical inspection revealed issues with the engines.
G Adventures will continue to offer Zodiac excursions, a best-in-class expedition team, and unbeatable value.
