Luxury ship MS Contessa joins the fleet
Sail Croatia's Explorer cruises offer more choice than ever in Summer 2026, with an additional ship joining the fleet, and mid-week departures added.
The luxurious MS Contessa, which will set sail with the Explorer fleet next Spring, is 47 metres long with sleek lines and distinctive charm – perfect for intimate small ship cruising. With a maximum of just 36 guests in 18 cabins, she offers luxurious above and lower deck cabins, each featuring a private en-suite bathroom and air-conditioning.
Helle Seuren, Co-Founder and Director of Sail Croatia, said, "We are excited to welcome Contessa to our fleet. Ahead of the 2026 season, she will undergo a full interior and exterior renovation, transforming her into one of the most impressive vessels sailing the Adriatic. Her soft, neutral tones and refined finishes will ensure a serene and timeless atmosphere throughout the ship and create a wonderfully calm environment in which our guests can truly relax."

Explorer cruises are aimed at multi-generational groups and couples, looking to explore the Dalmatian coast. A choice of three different itineraries are on offer, operating out of Dubrovnik and Split. All three options are for seven nights and include highlights such as Hvar, famous for its super-yachts and celebrity status, and Stari Grad, one of the oldest towns in Croatia.
Contessa will operate 21 departures between Dubrovnik and Split, 17 of which will operate on a Wednesday, giving guests more choice of dates. Until now, Explorer cruises have only departed on weekends.
A second ship in Sail Croatia's Explorer fleet, the MS Princeza Diana, is also undergoing a stylish upgrade ahead of the 2026 season.
Prices for MS Contessa start from €2,019 per person, based on two sharing, for the seven-night Dubrovnik to Split cruise departing on 16 May 2026. Daily breakfast and lunch, plus Captain's dinner evening, are all included. Flights are not included.
