UnCruise Adventures will more than double capacity on its Aleutian Islands itinerary in 2028 and has opened bookings.
The line will replace the 36-guest yacht Safari Explorer with the 74-guest Wilderness Explorer (pictured) for its 10-night Aleutian Islands Adventure with Dutch Harbor & Kodiak, citing strong demand. The 2025 debut of the itinerary sold out within days, according to the company.
The ship will operate eight sailings from June 2 to Aug. 15, 2028, between Seward and Dutch Harbor, Alaska.
Ports and protected areas on the itinerary include Kenai Fjords National Park, Katmai National Park, Ugashik National Wildlife Refuge, Aniakchak National Monument, the Shumagin Islands and Akutan Village. Activities include glacier viewing, kayaking, skiff tours, hiking, and wildlife watching for seals, puffins, sea otters, brown bears and eagles.
The USA-flagged Wilderness Explorer is currently in Seattle undergoing renovations, including steelwork, a new watermaker, and interior upgrades to the galley, lounge, bar, and dining room. The vessel features a kayak and skiff launch platform and expedition guide staff. Adventure activities, meals and locally sourced Alaskan seafood are included in the fare.
An early booking offer of US$350 savings per person is available on all 2028 departures booked by Oct. 31, 2026.
