Scenic Group has announced the launch of Scenic Ikon, a new luxury cruise ship set to debut in April 2028. The 205-meter-long vessel will offer ultra-luxury expedition cruising experiences, catering to discerning travellers.
Ship Design and Amenities
Scenic Ikon will feature 135 all-verandah suites, ranging from 34 to 250 square meters, and accommodate up to 270 guests. The ship will be equipped with two Airbus H130-T2 helicopters, a custom-designed Triton AVA submersible, Zodiacs, and luxurious Fassmer tenders. Onboard amenities will include 15 dining venues, lounges, and social spaces, as well as a two-level spa and wellness center.
Itinerary and Destinations
Scenic Ikon will sail to various destinations, including the Mediterranean, Antarctica, and the Chilean Fjords. The ship's itinerary will include 110 ports across 21 countries, with 26 new destinations in its maiden season.
Construction and Delivery
Construction of Scenic Ikon is underway, with milestones including a steel-cutting ceremony in February 2025 and a keel laying in May 2025. Delivery is expected in late 2027, ahead of the ship's debut voyage from Venice in April 2028.
