True North celebrates 40 years of adventure with new 2027 Voyages

#expeditioncruising .

Marking four decades at the helm of adventure, True North Adventure Cruises has announced its most significant evolution yet – a 2027 sailing schedule that charts new destinations, expands guest favourites, and celebrates 40 years of redefining exploration across Australia and the Indo-Pacific.

Building on its legacy of small-ship discovery, True North’s 2027 Voyages capture the essence of adventure at sea – offering unparalleled access to remote coastlines, vibrant marine worlds, and cultural frontiers across Australia, West Papuan Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.

“Our 40th year is both a celebration and an evolution,” said Chad Avenell, Business Owner/Director at True North. “It’s about revisiting the places that have shaped us, uncovering new horizons, and continuing to deliver journeys that redefine adventure.”

Among the highlights of the 2027 schedule are several new and reimagined itineraries, including:
  • North of Ningaloo - Turquoise lagoons, manta rays, and the untouched Rowley Shoals - a journey along Western Australia’s final ocean frontier.
  • Fire & Dragons - Komodo, Wakatobi, and the volcanic heart of Indonesia - where fire meets water and every horizon tells an ancient story.
  • Raja Ampat Uncharted - A refined voyage through the “Four Kings,” exploring previously untouched reefs and hidden islands where nature still outperforms imagination.
  • Great Barrier Reef Explorer - A 10-night adventure featuring coral gardens, tropical islands, and a day at Osprey Reef – one of Australia’s most spectacular dive and snorkel locations.
Bookings for the 2027 Voyages are now open to all travellers. Secure your cabin early and be among the first to experience these milestone adventures, celebrating 40 years of True North exploration.
