Four Seasons has entered the maritime sector, with its first vessel, Four Seasons I, departing on its maiden voyage in the Mediterranean as the company extends its luxury hospitality brand to sea.
The launch coincides with the company’s 65th anniversary, marking a strategic expansion from its core hotel operations into ultra-luxury cruising. The vessel is operated through a joint venture with Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings.
The 207-metre yacht has been designed as a low-density, residential-style vessel, featuring 95 suites, all with indoor-outdoor living space and no interior cabins. The ship operates with a one-to-one guest-to-staff ratio, positioning it at the high end of the luxury cruise market.
Accommodation includes large suites with private terraces, the largest of which, the Funnel Suite, spans approximately 929 square metres.
Four Seasons said the concept is intended to combine private yacht-style travel with its established service model.
Chief executive of Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings, Ben Trodd, said the product responds to demand for personalised, experience-led travel.
Onboard facilities include 11 restaurants and bars, with a rotating chef programme featuring chefs from Michelin-starred Four Seasons restaurants. Dining options range from Mediterranean cuisine to Japanese omakase.
Wellness facilities are centred around the L’Oceana Spa, which includes thermal circuits, hydrotherapy, and treatment programmes focused on recovery and longevity.
The yacht also features a transverse marina, allowing direct access to the sea for water-based activities during designated marina stops.
For its inaugural season, Four Seasons I will operate itineraries across the Mediterranean, including destinations such as Saint-Tropez, Bodrum, Hydra and the Croatian coast, before repositioning to the Caribbean and Bahamas for winter sailings.
The company plans 32 voyages across 52 sailings, visiting more than 130 destinations in over 30 countries and territories in its first year. Additional vessels and itineraries are planned as part of a broader long-term expansion strategy.
