Departing 8 August 2013 from Bucharest to Passau, this voyage takes in the best of the Danube in summertime - including historical towns, picturesque countryside and seven fascinating countries along the way.
From Romania's capital Bucharest, River Cloud II will journey close to the mouth of the Danube, visiting the fishing village of St George and Cernavoda. The Bulgarian destinations of Russe, Nikopol and Oryahovo are next on the itinerary and guests will have the opportunity to visit Veliko Tarnovo - former capital of the Bulgarian empire. She will then sail through Serbia's Iron Gate – a cliff-lined gorge and national park, followed by Belgrade and the Hungarian ports of Mohács, Kalocsa and Budapest, with its many cultural and gastronomic highlights. The Slovakian capital Bratislava is next, followed by Austria's capital Vienna - where guests can take in concerts, fine cuisine and local wines; the Austrian towns of Dűrnstein and Melk, and the final destination of Passau.
After exciting days exploring ashore, guests will return to the elegant River Cloud II to indulge in the exquisite on-board service, luxury accommodation and fine dining.
As a special bonus for families, in July and August children up to 18 years of age can travel in their own cabin for only 50% of the cruise fare and all excursions are also included.
