Emerald Cruises & Tours’ new luxury yacht Emerald Kaia has successfully completed sea trials at Scenic Group’s shipyard in Ha Long Bay.
The 128-passenger vessel is scheduled to commence operations with an 11-day “Cyprus to the Acropolis” inaugural voyage, departing Limassol on April 4.
Scenic Group general manager of ocean operations James Griffiths said the completion of sea trials marked a key milestone in the project.
“This milestone is a testament to the dedication of everyone involved,” Griffiths said. “Operationally, the sea trial delivered excellent results and allows us to proceed with the final phase of commissioning with confidence.”
Emerald Kaia will join Emerald Azzurra and Emerald Sakara in the Emerald Cruises fleet. A further sister yacht, Emerald Raiya, is scheduled to enter service next year, followed by Emerald Xara in 2028.
The yacht introduces several new features, including an Observation Deck with an additional spa pool, sun lounges and shaded relaxation areas. An indoor-outdoor gym located beside the marina platform will allow guests to exercise before swimming directly from the vessel.
Dining venues include the signature restaurant La Cucina, which now features an open kitchen, alongside a new Night Market Grill.
