Scenic has announced five India and Sri Lanka journeys built around a nine-night cruise on West Bengal’s Hooghly River. The itineraries range from 17 to 25 days, with departures scheduled from September 2027 to March 2028.
The 44-guest Scenic Aura is being redesigned and refurbished ahead of its inaugural season. According to Scenic, each suite will have a private balcony, a separate bedroom and a Sun Lounge.
The river programme includes visits to Kathgola Palace, the Hooghly Imambara, the ISKCON Global Headquarters and the artisan community of Matiari. The wider itineraries extend to destinations in South India, Rajasthan and Sri Lanka. Scenic says land excursion groups will be limited to 25 guests.
Meals, selected beverages, Wi-Fi, yoga classes, tipping and gratuities are included. The ship will have four restaurants and bars, a wellness centre and a pool. Scenic says the journeys also include hotels and internal transport.
An early access offer of up to $1,500 per person off selected departures is available, subject to conditions and availability.
