Halfway through the 2026 season, Unforgettable Croatia Co-Founder Graham Carter said more than 98% of cabins were sold.
“I’m thrilled to report that we are on track for another record season in Croatia. We came into 2026 in a strong position with more than 80% of cabins sold by January, after the business experienced its strongest early demand ever – half the program was booked within weeks of going on sale,” Graham said.
“In a promising sign, average booking values continue to rise year-on-year, and more than two-thirds (68%) of guests sailing with us this year are first-time cruisers, reflecting growing demand for premium small-ship cruising.
“Australians account for one in four guests booked on 2026 sailings, and are a big contributor to the growth in land and cruise packages. The average trip duration this year is 10 days, showing how many guests are book-ending their cruise with hotel stays and land tours to neighbouring countries such as Slovenia and Montenegro. Slovenia is proving particularly popular as a Croatia land add-on, with bookings up 31% year on year. With more departures from Šibenik, this picturesque port town is enjoying some extra tourist dollars pre and post cruise, and offering an alternative to Split.
“The other area of growth is private charters which now comprise 11% of capacity. A noticeable trend with these bookings is multi-generational groups getting together to mark milestone moments. With only 36 guests on each cruise, our ships are the perfect size for an extended family or group of friends celebrating a big birthday or special occasion.”
The luxury operator recently released its 2027 small ship cruising program, featuring 131 guaranteed departures between May and October across six ships, with a maximum of 18 cabins.
Graham said next year’s program, which includes a new Michelin dining option and two themed cruises, was selling well.
“Our 2027 program has only recently gone on sale and almost a third (29%) of cabins are already sold. We’re excited to offer special themed cruises celebrating Croatia’s world-class food and wine, and a deeper look at the history of the country. And I know our new, complimentary Michelin booking service will be lapped up by our guests, especially foodies from Australia wanting a table at the best restaurants in each port,” he said.
“While our newest ship Aretis continues to be popular with Australian guests who make up one in four guests onboard the sleek vessel, Bellissima is the most in-demand ship heading into 2027, accounting for 10 per cent more bookings than any other ship in the fleet.”
